Portrait photography – some might call it lifestyle photography – is my passion. The idea of capturing a moment that says something about a person, a moment that will live on in a photograph long after the moment has passed – that’s something that fascinates me.
People often want portraits of their children or pets. That’s great for me because they’re the most natural subjects in the world. Nobody can resist a really good photograph of a child. And when you take one their parents really like, it’s a terrific feeling. But keep them away from a studio! They need to be somewhere familiar, fun or enjoyable. Then they’ll just be who they are and do their own thing. Actually, much the same is true of the rest of us as well.

How do I do it?
We need to get to know each other a bit. It should be a pleasant hour or two we spend together. I’ll just happen to have a camera with me. While you’re talking or thinking, doing something you do or posing for me, I'll be taking pictures. Some people are self-conscious and reticent in front of the camera; others relish it and are full of ideas. But everyone gets some pictures they like in the end. We can do it in your home or somewhere nice nearby – in a forest, a field, the hills, at the beach or somewhere that has a special meaning to you. If you like, I can suggest somewhere. It’s up to you.
